Direct Current is, at its core a Full Service Fashion Apparel Design House... Our Manufacturing Unit Produces Private Label Fashion Design.... Fashion Specialties and makes Custom Apparel Merchandise for clients in Hospitality trade with, Staff Shirts and Uniforms, to offer Restaurant Themes and supply complete concept packages.

For many customers, Marketing with Clothing as a Promotional Vehicle is an Ideal way to increase awareness of your brand or business, and with quality embroidered screen-print or logo apparel items you get the recognition you deserve. Designers who have access to market share use our facility to incubate product development and launch small batch production of their own collections.

Our Theme Apparel options range from Holiday elegance to cultural accent items like Japanese Happy Coats for Sushi Chefs and Traditional Kimono. Other items include Pleated Mini Skirts, Kilts and Ponchos.

Delivery solutions involve direct sales of bulk order goods or online secure private company store set-ups.

Our portfolio includes T-shirts, toques, jackets and caps, contemporary fashion ladies tops, neck ties and kilts, sweatshirts with or without hoods, cotton/spandex and assorted Eco-sheik fabrics like Bamboo, Soy and Hemp. Our woven favorites include Cotton, Hemp and assorted textile Blends for men's shirts, jackets and other wearing apparel. We work with waterproof breathable cloth and construct technical, surf and sport items for an astounding 400 assorted garment styles that range from photographer vests and hemp hoodies to toddler rain suits, adult surf shorts and dye-sublimated bikini's.

Our fashion making ability is connected to trend and provides staple items for all types of distribution through retailers and special event merchandisers. At Direct Current Manufacturing we create new garments daily and our open work group environment is home to independent fashion designers who use the facility to cut, sew and trim ready to wear and prototype samples for sales agents and presentation to fashion buyers at wholesale.

There is no fixed Minimum order requirement. Most "established" styles or repeat items are part of our rapid turn around program for quick response starting at as few as 6 units per size. Add extra cost for multi colors but the cutting is best served when there are more layers of fabric. A Small Batch is between 30 and 300pc.

Other Minimum criteria depends on Fabric needs, Who is supplying the fabric and the complexity in the style/cut of the garment.

What does your facility offer? - I make my own line and am looking for a producer?

Creative Design Consultation to Pre-production services are $65.00 per hour. This rate is for Tasks like Sample Making, Original prototype development, fit adjustments, design styling and garment construction solutions that require specific or other trade knowledge ability..

Pattern Drafting and other duties that lead up to grading the style for multiple styles are charged at a rate of $35.00 per hour.

With Fabric supplied by you, we can administrate the fulfillment of orders orders to include quality control supervision of the fabric lay, handling of goods through cutting, sewing and assorted routes of finishing.

A sample is important to guide production. We may require a pre-production sample be cut and sewn by us to test the final workings of your design this can cost anywhere from $45 - $250.00 depending on the style being tested.

We require digital grading to support our cutting blueprint markers. You may choose to supply your own markers or have us perform the service from the original pattern you supply for production. Markers enhance efficiency and yield generated by a computer pattern software system to match the width of the cloth and the assorted quantity for each size required. The cost is based on the number of pattern pieces in the style and can range from a few cents and up depending on how many garments you are making. Repeat orders are saved the initial cost of grading which represents a one time fee.

How much will each garment cost?

That depends on what we have to do. Volume of scale discounts apply in the following unit quantity brackets of 30-300pc, over 300, volume rates begin at 2,000 and 5,000+ size orders for which we have solutions for each. price is determined based on the actual and peticular details depending on the variables that exist within the jobs description.

Garment making price factors include: the nature of the cloth for handling, the ease of sewing depending on cloth, who is to supply the cloth and how many units can be produced by the sewing team, and if the run is a repeat booking. there are other variables depending on the nature of the style, the method of construction in the design and the available resources or machines involved in the specific timeline required.

We are competitive in the trade. The client must have a budget allowance for discussion purposes. Quotes will only be provided to bookings that are within a reasonable range estimate. Scientific Job cost analysis is billed at $35.00 per hour. The estimate will have an allowance for error of plus/minus 4-7%. It is rare to fix a price in advance on quantities under 300 units. and even then we only offer estimates based on our previous experience. Our hourly shop rate for production is $26.75 per person hour, yeild to be determined on a per project basis.
